About PARS Junior Golf Foundation
PARS is a Parental Assistance Referral Service. We have
helped students who wish to attend college and compete in
collegiate golf the past 17 years. Athletic scholarships and financial aid are available for students that meet the minimum mandatory requirements of the NCAA, NAIA, and Junior College levels. We have been assisting student athletes since 1995 through the journey of junior golf on to the college level.
The PARS International Junior Golf Championships help the junior golfer develop through nationally ranked events. We specialize in helping the athlete develop into a recognized player who will be known by college coaches. We can assist you in setting up a junior schedule and guide you to Colleges where the level of competition will be equal to your ability. PARS will help to make it affordable. We will provide you with professional assistance in selecting recognized junior tournaments to compete. The many requirements of the various universities can confuse even the most worldly person. We have the knowledge and the contacts to make it an easier transition. We will open a direct line to the coach.
While starting a Men's and Women's golf program in 1995 at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida I learned the real facts of college recruiting and how to obtain golf and academic scholarships. With over 25 years of Professional Golf plus seven years of junior competition I have enough experience to guide a junior golfer to college where they will compete. Strong academics add to the athletes chances of obtaining a position on a college team.
We have helped many junior golfers who have competed in PARS Championships to move on to major junior golf tournaments like the Doral/Publix, U.S. Junior, U.S. Public Links, Junior World, Optimist International, Scott Robertson Memorial, Orange Bowl, and many other high profile events. Coaches are looking for PARS players.
We have been successful in thee past 17 years in assisting student athletes to some great colleges like the University of Florida, N.C. St., Michigan, UNC, Chapel Hill, Harvard, Dartmouth, Virginia Tech, Univ. of San Francisco, Lehigh, Cornell, Auburn, New Mexico State, Lynn, Minnesota, St. Thomas, Virginia, Yale, Tennessee, Stanford, Nova SE, Tennessee State, Florida Atlantic, Embry-Riddle, Central Alabama, Scottsdale College, USC, Univ. of California, Santa Barbara, Rollins, James Madison Univ. turned Professional
"It is indeed gratifying and
commendable that the students have not only achieved in their sport but
have made themselves eligible academically for collegiate golf,” said
Brian Rous, President of PARS. Some student athletes PARS has assisted
