Director of Golf Rodney Green

PGA Professional

Rodney Green, on the job a month, came to Innisbrook from Disney World, where he worked for 12 years. At Disney, he was in charge of customer relations, instruction and operations, among other things.

A 19-year veteran of the golf industry, Green spent the last 11 years working in Orlando for the Walt Disney World Company, most recently as head Golf Professional and Director of Instruction for Disney's two premier championship golf courses. Green's attention to detail resulted in continued increases in annual golf rounds, improved operating efficiencies, and exceptional service standards and customer satisfaction ratings. Green also managed and oversaw the PGA TOUR's Children's Miracle Network Classic for the last five years, and is a member of the PGA Advisory Board.

The Junior Champions Golf Academy

Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club

Innisbrook, Florida

The mission of The Junior Champions Golf Academy at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Innisbrook, Florida will be to create an elite exclusive golf program that will develop junior and post graduate golf students to their full potential where they will become quality players and all around stellar student athletes. The team of Professional PGA Instructors, including a Director of Fitness and a Sports Psychologist, will work together to provide a comprehensive strategic training program where each student will set and achieve individual and realistic goals.

Just as Florida’s Gulf Coast is well known for sparkling, white sand beaches, Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club has long been regarded as one of America’s most celebrated golf resorts in Florida. Once you visit you’ll see why we consistently receive top accolades including Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 You Can Play,” and Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Golf Resorts in America.”

Innisbrook is home to four outstanding layouts – all designed by the imaginative and innovative architect Lawrence Packard – including the top-rated Copperhead course which hosts the world’s finest players when the PGA TOUR visits Innisbrook each March. As a guest at Innisbrook, not only can you play where the TOUR Professionals love to play, but you can also take advantage of three other championship layouts featuring up to 70 feet of elevation change and scenery more reminiscent of the Carolina sand hills and Georgia foothills rather than the typical Florida terrain.

While the PGA TOUR professionals consider Copperhead to be one of the “Top Five” courses they play all year, our members consider the Island Course to be even better! We recently completed a $2 million renovation on the Island. You’re sure to enjoy the Island’s new Tiff Eagle greens and be challenged by its 7,310 yards.

The golf experience at Innisbrook is more than great golf holes. You’ll also find three golf shops offering the finest in sports apparel and equipment. Perhaps most important you’ll enjoy meeting, a professional, service-oriented staff that takes personal delight in making your Florida golf vacation a truly memorable experience.
